How much do I need to invest to qualify for the EB-5 program?
The investor must invest a minimum of US $500,000 in a USCIS approved Regional Center with a project in a “Rural Area” or “Targeted Employment Area.” If the regional center’s project is not in a “Rural Area” or “Targeted Employment Area,” investors must invest a minimum of US $1,000,000. All of Northern California Regional Center’s projects are located in either a “Rural Area” or “Targeted Employment Area” to allow investors to take advantage of the minimum investment.
If my Initial I-526 application is rejected, will I get my full investment back?
Yes, the investment is placed and held in an escrow account where the money is held until the immigrant investor’s I-526 application is approved. Should the investor’s application be denied the full $500,000 investment will be refunded to the investor. If the I-526 Petition is approved, the escrow agent then releases the money from the account to the investment, after which it is no longer returnable.
Can Northern California Regional Center guarantee that the investment money will be returned after U.S. citizenship has been obtained?
No, unfortunately Northern California Regional Center cannot guarantee the return of the investment due to Federal regulations. The investors must place their investment “at risk” to qualify for the EB-5 program. However Northern California Regional Center works to ensure legitimacy and feasibility of all projects that it sponsors.
